Heart Change

Wow, what a couple for weeks training we had with Foundations For Farming, simply amazing!

We went thinking we were going to learn environmental friendly methods for subsistence farming, and that we did, but boy did we learn so much more.

Day one we were blown away with what we saw, maize growing tall, green and healthy, rain fed only and during an El Nino drought!

On our journey to the training site from Sanyati to Harare, we witnessed so much drying or already dead maize and other crops, the comparison was stark. However, as we said, this was going to be so much more than how to farm. Straight away, it was about a relationship with God and His ways of farming, how He created nature to work in harmony with us.

Quickly our heads and hearts were changed, turning away from traditional methods of farming to looking at how God would farm, working with nature rather than fighting nature.  The heart change was what we had been talking about in our work and the importance of people turning their heads and hearts back to God. The methods Foundations For Farming teach, are a way to feed people both physically and also spiritually.

We met some amazing inspirational people and made some very good friends along the way. Our heads and hearts were sorted. We were then also taught farming skills that we could take back to our community to pass on and assist them. We couldn’t wait to get started! More updates to follow.

Wow that is amazing, so proud of you both for all you are doing for the people of Sanyati and for constantly learning how best to serve them. Looking forward to seeing you both xxx
